This probably the weirdest question i'll ever ask, but here goes:
I want to create a IPX (yes, you read it right!) tunnel through my LAN network between two DOS 6.2.0 computers to play DOOM. Have not had much (okay, NONE) experience with IPX networking, so I am totally lost. It'll stay within my personal network, no internet interaction. Connecting through a Linksys WRT310 router (that I think is working...). This is not necessary but would really help.
Thanks for all future help.
P.S I'm not sure if I can even get DOS to recognize the Ethernet cards so wish me luck...~oldie

You don't need to "tunnel" ipx. You just load the protocol on both, choose the same frame type 802.3 and they will be able to communicate. Answers are only as good as the information you provide.

P.S I'm not sure if I can even get DOS to recognize the Ethernet cards so wish me luck... If they're DOS machines, you'll also require drivers and networking capability which will mean finding, downloading, installing, and configuring ms client for ms-dos
