I found a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router at a yardsale real cheap, and i bought it. It's model number is WRT54G (version 5). It doesn't have the installation CD or software for it though. I went to the website, and if ound the firmware. However, its a .bin file and i have no idea how to install this firmware.

I mainly want this in the house so i can have two CPUs hooked up to my DSL internet. can someone help me out please?

You never found any installation software because there is none as you don't need an installation CD for a router. All the software you need is standard Windows networking software.

Download the manual for the router from the Linksys web site and it will tell you how to configure the router.

You will almost certainly need to connect one computer to the router by wire initially to configure the router. If you want to use wireless then you will need a wireless interface card in each computer you want to connect by wireless.

The manual will also tell you how to install firmware updates but get the router working properly first.

BTW: you wont be hooking up two two CPUs. You will be hooking up two two computers. The CPU is just one small chip on the motherboard, the one with the big heat-sink and fan on it.

Forget about the setup CD. That just automates things that you can do manually.

Just plug an Ethernet cable into one of the router ports and the other end into your Ethernet card. Set network configuration to get IP address automatically and re-boot. Go straight to chapter 3 and follow the instructions there and setup via the web based utility. You should be able to get that by entering the address HTTP://192.168.1.1

You may need to reset the router to factory defaults. You can do that by pressing the reset button on the back and holding it for five seconds with power applied.
