Hi everyone, hope you are all well.
I have a small problem regarding connection to the Internet for my Xbox and PC at the same time.
I currently have a BT Voyager 205 router in which has one Ethernet port, which I connect my PC to, and a USB port, which I connect my Mum's PC to.
In order to access the Internet via the Xbox, at present I have to unplug the Ethernet cable connecting to my PC and replace it with the one connecting to my Xbox - thus I cannot be on both my PC and the Xbox at the same time.
I would like a way to connect both at the same time, and I thought so in the form of a 2-port Ethernet hub. I bought one (or at least what I thought was one), as the one below:

However, when connecting the two cables to the hub, only the one in Jack 1 is recognised, with the one in Jack 2 is not.
Therefore, I would like to plead for your help - either with the current hub I have to make it work, or a suggestion as to what I really should be looking for.
Preferably, could you please give me a link to a site which has the correct product, and as cheap as possible please! Also, I am from the UK so any UK site is highly preferred.
Thank you very much!

You should get a SOHO router (SOHO = small office/home office).
They can be had for a reasonable price (around $50.00 Canadian) and will do everything you want and more.
As for a link.....all computer stores sell them so all you need to do is go look. The more popular brands are Linksys and D-Link. Just google either of those and start looking over their websites for "SOHO routers" or go to the web site of any local computer store and look for equipment of either brand and do some price comparing.

FYI a hub will not suffice, you would need a Switch, but ideally use a Modem/Router. Maybe contact your ISP and see what they offer!
