My first thought we be that if you are able to get a working connection, but it seems low, try logging into the router and changing the wireless channel from whatever it is to something else. Just try a few different channels and see which ones give you the best signal.

You might also try the Linksys Easy Link Advisor that came with your router. It will walk you right through your setup. If you don't have a CAT5 cable around get one you will need it. If you don't then you can use a USB flash drive.

Hi!

I need help connecting to my computer via me Wireless lan card. Me Dad's computer connects fine through an ethernet cable but when I try to connect to mine wirelessly it just says it has "limited or no connectivity." I am putting in the right SSID code from the router and the rite WPA-PSK code but still get that message. any suggestions anyone?

Richie.
I would suggest that if you want to keep the WRT45G"S" router, then buy a matching WPC54GS wireless card. Either that or take the "S" back and replace with a WRT45G. The "S" won't do you any good on the laptop unless it has someway of using it. Sort of like having a "G" router with a "B" laptop. Also make sure that your laptop is capable of 802.11g and that your drivers etc. are up to date.
