I HAVE 2PCS CONNECTED WITH HOME NETWORKING WITH PHONE LINE AND I CAN TRANSFER DATA AND ECT THEY READ EACH OTHER BUT MY PROBLEM IS MY HOST IS WINDOWS XP AND OTHER WIN98 HOW DO I SET MY WIN 98 ONE UP TO SHARE INTERNET THROUGH WIN XP AND HOW TO CONNECT OF WIN98

If you have a dial up connection it can be difficult, but it can be done. Built in to Win OS is Internet Sharing Connection. This application acts as a DHCP server.
There are numerous other software companies outthere that offer the same service. Try surdoubler by a company called Viacom Software (www.vicomsoft.com).What you have to do is...
You will need to set up one of the computers as a DHCP server. It will take the IP address the internet company gives you and distribute a fake one to the other computer. I would suggest that you use the win XP. I have never tried to setup a win 98 as a DHCP server. However, any computer should be able to be a DHCP server. The computer that is a DHCP server will have a modem connected to it. Then you will ned to use some sort of networking device to cnnect the two, like a phoneline system (HomePNA).
Note, the DHCP server will have to be on for the other computer to access the web.
Good Luck
