For some reason, I can't use a router with my Bellsouth DSL connection anymore. I turn on the DSL modem, then the router, and my computers can't connect. Only way to connect is to go directly to the modem. Here is my ipconfig info.

Are you sure you posted this right? How can you have the same ip addres etc when on dsl modem direct and again with your router?
I think you misposted the info

What I did was connect my computer and the modem and run ipconfig, then my computer into the router, with the router into the dsl modem, then ran ipconfig.

I finally fixed it. I found the setup ip to my modem copied the DNS #'s, input them into my Router, it didn't help, shut everything down, put the router back on obtain DNS auto and now it finds the DNS by itsself. I won't ever type in /flushdns again.

ACtually it only fixed one computer but that was temporarily I'm back to square one. Anyone know how to fix this>?>

If you first used your DSL before you got your router, then Bellsouth may be using your computers MAC address. Check your router manual on cloning the MAC address.

again ipconfig /flushdns has nothing to do with your issues. Its like saying a apple is a orange because they are both fruit.
If you pull out your routers manual and follow the directions it will tell you about what Wizard-Fred is suggesting and how to properly configure your router.
The reason I doubted the information you first posted is because your pc ends up with the same ip address each time. That is wrong. Basics of routing says you have to have different subnets. You can't have a 192.168.0.x on the routers WAN interface AND on the LAN interface.
You very well may need to set your LAN to 192.168.100.x if your WAN is 192.168.0.x

Wizard-Fred, when I ordered Bellsouth after canceling earthlink, they send you the dsl modem and you hook it up so I think the modem MAC is the one I want to use. I also just hooked up my router when I got the service (2 months ago) and everything was fine. All I usually do if anything is the wizard. I have only used the internal setups for stuff like P2P programs. I've never had this problem before and its really aggrevating that I can't share the internet. I will try setting my LAN to what you said wanderer, I'm not sure if I can. The wizard with the router won't run because it needs a connection to the internet. I can only get that by connecting directly to the modem.

After ours of random changes to both the modem and router, I'm pretty sure its fixed now. I tried a lot of things 2 or 3 times, but I think it was because the DSL "Modem" has a DHCP Server and I disabled it. Although I had tried that before, maybe some other things I did helped too. But I'm going to save all the screens as jpgs for future problems. Thanks guys.

I would put the router and computers on a different subnet than the modem. I.E.> If modem is 192.168.1.254, I would make router 192.168.<anything other than 1>.1 and have the DHCP range from router to match.
Say 192.168.2.1 and DHCP range 192.168.2.2 to 192.168.2.5 for a 4 port router.
This is better for the router's firewall strategy.
