Need help connecting through router

Quite confused about this message, "Connecting through WAN Miniport (PPPoE)" I have my modem connect to the wan port on the linksys router(BEFSR11), then the lan ported connect to the uplink port on my linksys switch(EZXS55W) using a straight through connection. And obviously my comp is connect to one of the other ports. Please I need help, I'm not a network type guy and I have no idea what to do.
