There are many, SNMP based programs, here are a few FREE ones:
1.) MRTG uses SNMP v1, v2 and V3( you use the mibs) Free for windows NT 4.0 and 2000 and Linux
2.)Show Taffic , windows kind of like sniffer FREE
3.) There are MANY MANY free tools under and Linux distro , I use SuSE 8.0 pro which has ton's of them included and the easiest to install and you can't forget Redhat 7.3 which have alot but you might find , if your new linux trouble installing some of those apps.
4.) Ethereal 9.4 , come FREE in Linux and there is a Free Windows verison as well.
I would use Linux to baseline your network, it's just has so much to offer you when it comes to that5.)Try JPCAP , I LOVE THIS app ( Linux free)
6.)Try EtherApe, I LOVE THIS app ( Linux free)
If you need more info please let me know, you can find these app on freshmeat.net.
