Need help setting up DNS for the first time. Network is 2000 Server with terminal services and roaming profiles enabled. Our local ISP provides us with a static ip address for each workstation because they are managing our VPN. This static ip address includes a DNS primary and secondary address. We also have a local company hosting our website, and through them we get our POP3 email accounts.
How do I configure my network server to handle DNS? The more specific you can be the better off I will be at getting this network to function smoothly and properly. Thanks for your help.

If your ISP is hosting your VPN connection and also handling the IP addressing for your clients DNS is their concern. They should be assigning the DNS addresses with the rest of the TCP/IP information (assuming their using DHCP, if not, those should be statically entered the same as the rest of the TCP/IP settings).
I do understand that you may still wish to set up a DNS server for your internal network regardless of your ISP.
However, I'm not going to go into the DNS configuration in detail for you. You're getting paid for this not me, so you should do your own research. The information you want is freely available at microsoft's web site.
While I don't mind helping home user's for free...I won't freely help people who are getting paid to do this. I've invested a lot of time and money into my education and require recompense if it's business related. If you would like to pay my consulting fee, I'd gladly help you set up your DNS.
