Specs: Macintosh
I have a MacBook Pro and AT&T DSL. What's the best router and modem available for someone that isn't a huge techie. I currently have a Netgear DGN2200 but haven't been able to get the MacBook to recognize the PPOe (or something close to those letters). Any suggestions?!?!

You have to read the Users Manual of the router.
Everything is clearly described in there, so that you should be able to get connected to the internet.
Simply follow the instructions in the manual.

Btw.: The computer itself do not have to authenticate to your ISP, but the router has to.
Therefore, you have to configure the data for authentication in the router.

The best way is to read more details from your current Netgear DGN2200 user guide, but if you want to buy a modem & router combination, Huawei E583C is the best choice, it supports Mac, and an unlocked E583C can support your AT & T Network. You can find the unlocked Huawei E583C Router from
