the best way of sharing a broadband internet connection is to use a router. i am happy to recommend Linksys and Netgear.
you can realistically run 10 machines through one AP.
go for 802.11g as this will provide you with 54mbps connection. they will be able to play network games yes.
i can't help out on the antenna side. i think professional advice might be your best bet on this.
MSI KT4AV-L
AMD Athlon XP 2800
1Gb Crucial 3200 DDR
160Gb Seagate Barracuda
ATI 256Mb 9600XT
16x DL DF DVD/RW
16x DVD ROM
9-in-1 Flash Media FDD

Just for the fun of it, let me say this: I read right here on computing.net today that you can hook up a standard TV antenna to a wireless PCI Network card. Instead of using the little one that comes with the card, just plug in a TV antenna at the place the small one would go. I've never tried it before though. For best wireless reception, I'd probably get an amplified antenna if I tried it. Just thought I'd through that in there.
May God bless everyone along the Gulf Coast trying to recover from Katrina. But let this be a lesson for America to turn back to God.
