I have a Netgear ProSafe VPN Firewall FVX538 and a Speedstream 5100 modem from AT&T. (In Chicago incase it matters)

I have the user name and password for the DSL modem and if i am directly connected to the modem i have access to the internet so i know its good.

I also have a linksys wireless router that i can add to the mix and i have access to the internet.

When i try to use the Netgear VPN.. i follow the step by step instructions but when i hit TEST i cant get to the internet. I poked around all the settings and nothing looks obvious.. mostly because im a network idiot. Im guessing theres more to setting a VPN up.

This is a link to netgears "test drive" where you can look at the VPN settings. If someone knows what mistake im making please help. Thanks..
