hey all,
I have a small problem:
1- web server (Ubunto Server) with a private IP
2- Gateway PC (Win XP pro) with 2 Ethernet card, one for the WAN and the other has private IP
3- The two computer are connected together in a LAN
4- When ever I access the WAN IP it is supposed to direct me to the gateway, but what I need exactly is when ever I access the WAN IP to direct me to the web server.

How can I do that?

Use a DSL router instead of the 2 NIC's and ICS. Then, configure the router to forward incoming port 80 traffic to your web server.

It's not only very easy to setup the router (pretty much plucg-n-play), but it's a lot more secure than using Windows ICS.

There is a registry edit that you can do. It was for 2000 but should still work.

I guess there are other nat or proxy applications to run on the xp to allow that too.

The router deal works too. Could be more secure if your isp allows it.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
