N Router issue

I just bought an N Router 300mbps which I have 2 x 2.4 Ghz antennas.
The problem I have is my sons and his wife have moved into the 4 x 12 mtre garage that is around 40 metres away from the house/Router.
My son still gets the signal but only near the entrance of the garage.
If he pulls down the metal roller door he gets nothing.
Can he get a type of booster box to pick that signal up inside the garage.

40 meters is stretching it. They would be better off spending the money for a separate service connection.

I'm told the router can do up to 300 feet which I believe is around 90 metres. It's not so much that we are not getting that distance, sure it does drop off to the garage but the Q: is does anyone know of a secondary signal booster that will pick that signal up and allow them to have the garage door down.
