So my apartment occasionally experiences problems with the wireless internet which is provided to us. Normally when it isn't working I'd just go to the icon in the taskbar and repair and repair till it works once more. Last week I woke up to discover my connection was not working again. I scrolled down to the taskbar to repair the problem only to find that the icon was not there. I opened up my "network connections" and saw my LAN and Wireless icons. I tried enabling the wireless and a message popped up saying "Connection Falied!" then the icon disappeared. I tried changing what icons appear on the taskbar but that didn't work. The thing is, I don't think there's a problem with the internet connection itself, but I have no icon to repair and therefore no way of knowing. What happened? What can I do? Your help is greatly appreciated.

You should check whether the wireless adapter driver is still working well. If really not working, might consider to reinstall the driver.
