Hi, My laptop cannot receive the wireless signal outside the office parameter... is it that the signal is very weak or the my laptop has a problem?

It could be either. Look for an updated driver for your wireless NIC.

When you say outside the office parameter, how far are we talking about?
One time I was in the computer section of Staples, talking to an employee and customer asked him why he couldn't connect to his wireless network. The employee asked the same question, how far away is it? The customer replied 11 miles. :)
