Specs: Windows Vista
I have been using an USB stick for the internet for about 6 months with vodafone, i recently had a lot of problems with virus and ended up doing an entire system restore back to factory settings, since i did that my laptop won't recognise my usb stick as a mobile connect, it only recognises it as a usb memory drive and when i click on it in my computer it says "removeable memory missing" I've already been back to vodafone and they have replaced the stick itself, ive tried it in other computers and it works fine, it's supposed to be plug and play however even after i've downloaded the software, and uninstalled re installed numerous times it still won't recognise the device, my computer is up to date with all updates and other usb devices work etc etc, don't know what to do now...

ok i had the same problem with my mtn f@stlink data card. I also tried everything, tried to uninstall, reinstall, well basically everything that i could have thought of. I had comodo firewall installed and someone was trying to upload malware onnto my pc. i terminated all of the connection and forgot to restore it. so basically my firewall kept on blocking my internet access. so what iwould suggest is if you have a cutom firewall (other than windows firewall) uninstall that first. and if you dont, try disabling your windows firewalll and see if that cleares up the problem. and if it is you can just turn on the firewall afterwards.
