Comment:
I am currently working off a wireless internet connection, and by wireless I don't mean with a wireless adaptor, I mean a wireless ISP.
But I've since moved into a house with a phoneline. I play a lot of World of Warcraft, and the latency suffers due to the wireless connection, so i was thinking I might be able to get a wired connection.
I don't want to use the internet connection already established for the following reasons: 1. lack of a wireless adaptor, and 2. terrible service. just dont like them
So is it possible to have 2 modems for 2 different internet connections simultaneously working off the same phone line?
You still cant use two modems on the same phone line, dial up or DSL. Both modems will be trying to synchronise with the equipment at the other end of the wire and that is just not possible.
Not sure it would support your use. There are ways to run multiple connections that improve performance of many users or many endpoints. If you need a connection to a single point to improve then I'd say it would not help you. I think you would be better off with a single faster connection be it dsl or cable or what not.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
mindion the point of my question was to get you to think about what you are asking. Usually if you really thought about the question you were asking you would answer it yourself.
For example can you have two phones using the same line with two different phone numbers?
Or can you have two phones on the same line and talk to different people like phone a talks to person b and phone c talks to person d?
I think, given this context, that you can easily see what you are asking is not possible.
Taking the thinking scenerio a little farther, what are your options? Dialup or ISP wireless? If you don't have the ability of a wired connection, and knowing that usually ISP wireless is better than dialup, seems to me you have the answer to your question.
Are you ready for where Microsoft wants you to go today?
