Multiple IPS

I am currently having 2 networks at my end. In a Windows 2000 professional machine i have the option of adding multiple IPs to a single card. When i give 2 ips of different network on this machine i am able to ping both the networks but can't access the shared resources of the other network wht should i do??

if u will able to ping then that is good thing but to access or to communicate betwn different ip.. u need to configure router which win 2000 server comes along with it..
Try to configure Router and ...... on 2000 server.

If you can ping you don't need to route. After all the icmp packet got to the source and back, right?
