-I have disabled my firewall (XP) -I have a clean install of XP -I am connected to the internet through a router -I can surf the web flawlessly -I can print through the main computer -I can share files -I can create/join LAN games -The only thing installed in the TCP/IP settings is the TCP/IP and all is well
So why can I not join a standard multiplayer game? In gamespy arcade I get a bunch of red 'x's and through the game (MOHAA) I cannot join either. Same goes for BF2, America's Army, Operation Flashpoint, HL2, CSS, Doom3, NFSU 2, you name it! Any suggestions? This has been bothering me for months!

Only logical explanation is something other than your computer is blocking the traffic. Remove the router, hook one PC up without it, make sure it IS running the XP firewall so you don't become worm food, make sure exceptions are made for the games, and try it.

I'd bet that your router is the source of your pain.. remove it and see if that fixes it. if it does you know you have a rout. config. issue.
