Subject: Multilinking Dialup Lines
Comment:

Hi,
I was wondering whether anyone has multilinked 2 or more dialup lines. So that you could get a better bandwidth. (between RAS & Client) also has anyone succeeded in getting 56K connecivity using Two Modems at the two ends. I havent been able to reach that fast. Note that I am not refering to ISP connections, for which ISPs use Access Servers at their end.

Thanks in advance,
LasithG

Both sides have to be multilinked.

Sometimes it just goes in one and out the other because of a multilink problem. People with both dsl and cable find this out fast.

Do you have ADSL, Cable, or (SDSL) ISDN options?

Well ISDN yes - though it costs considerable more, but out here in Sri Lanka, the most cost effective is POTS dialup. I here that ADSL is on the way :)

Ps. Any Idea about the Max. connection speed using two 56K modems at both ends ?

Lg
