multi internetconnections with wifi

is there away to share the internet connections of multipal computers over a wifi.
so say we have a wifi connect in the area with internet, can i use my internet connection with my router by LAN and connect to the near by wifi connection and can use both internet connections at the same time?

its done all the time. only one internet connection but both wired and wireless can access it. thats what a wireless router does so not sure about the question.
