This person sounds like they want to start hacking a computer system, why do you want to monitor these shares for?

In a windows sharing environment, you may view the contents of a hosts drive without them having to share it. This may be done in windows explorer / my computer.

In the "Address" bar use this format:

\\[Host name / IP address]\[Drive letter]$

Examples:

\\192.168.0.5\c$

or:

\\OtherComputer\c$

The above examples would usually be for the primary hard drive.

The above access will only be permitted for an Administrative user.
