My problem...I have a 1ghz athlon running windows xp, FIC AZ11 motherboard, a Broadxent DI3631 Modem, 20 gig hard drive, and 352megs of ram. I have been on the internet with this modem and have not had this problem before. Whenever the modem is sending and recieving info, my computer seems to slow down. The mouse jumps across the screen, and other apps slow down. Even when I try to play a cd, it gets all choppy. When it stops sending info, everything seems just fine. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, a new modem and nothing seems to help. I know my cpu is fast enough. Please help!

try using alt-ctrl-delete before using the net and remove non internet usable programs.this may for the time being solve the problem.
