modem keeps loosing internetconnect

Im using sbc dsl with a speedstream modem.Yesterday I hooked up wireless with a d-link 802.11g/2.4GHz router through the ethernet.The problem im having is everything works fine for about 4 hours and I loose the internet connection at the main pc.contacted sbc tech support,they said to disconnect and reconnect the ethernet connections,it worked for about 4 hours again.Any ideas?
