Hi to all!
I have this network: A SuSe server connected to the internet and then connected to an 8 port switch that connects to the other computers on the network!
This server is giving IP adresses to the computer using DHCP. Now i need two things!
First: I set the DHPC server for giving the first IP as 192.168.1.10 and last IP 192.168.1.100. But it gives the IP backwards! First 192.168.1.100 and last 192.168.1.10. I tried to reverse the IP's as first 192.168.1.100 and last 192.168.1.10 but it's the same thing. It stars with the last IP! Why? And how do i correct it?
And the second question is very simple. Is there any device that i can connect to one port of the switch that will work as wireless? Something as an ethernet to wi-fi adapter? Just for one computer?

Thanks

I don't know the answer to the DHCP question.

To add wireless to your network. Just buy a wireless access point. It's basically a wireless switch. The server will perform the DHCP service for the wireless network as well.

you are missing the point of using dhcp. Assigning order does not matter. If you care that much about it do ip reservation [ip to mac address].

AP's are more expensive usually than a wireless router. You can turn a wireless router to a AP by following this diagram
