I have a network issue that is puzzling me.
I have 5 pcs and a 24 port switch, and access to additional pc's.
This is the scenario.
2 pc's with Win2K Pro.
3 WinXP Pro machines.
Win2k pc 1 can all the pc's on the network.
Win2k pc 2 only sees the Win2k pc's.
The XP machines see anything connected to the switch except for Win2k pc 2. Workgroup names don't matter, I added 3 other pc's with MSHOME, Workgroup, and Default as the workgroup names, and the XP machines could still communicate.
All of the pc's have static IP's (192.168.1.x), same subnet, same gateway, netbeui and tcp/ip both bound to file and print sharing, netbios over tcp/ip enabled , same user names/passwords, and are in the same workgroup on a wired network. Any ideas?
