Comment: I have a desktop that is configured for media sharing. Both my PS3 and Dell XPS laptop with Vista Home Premium are detected by the desktop and can stream the media just fine. My other laptop running XP Home, however is not detected and cannot stream media. My question then is, is it even possible to stream media from one computer running XP to another? Any suggestions would be great "When life takes a s--- on you, it's time to wipe and move on." -ZK

Reply: (edit)How are you "streaming?" "Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10

Reply: (edit)Ok, you got me. Not sure I know you could stream from XP if you have updated to WMP11. It may also require you to open your firewall settings for various ports and protocols and maybe program if not a MS product. It should work if you can get your laptop to work. I have not tried it. Start here for more ideas maybe. http://www.computing.net/answers/ne... "Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10
