Ok here's the situation. I have a two PC LAN with ME sharing the internet with a 98 client. The internet sharing is working fine but I can't get file sharing to work on the LAN. When I go into network neighborhood, no other computer appears and I can't map a drive.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and what I would have to do to resolve it?

go to start>>run and type \\computername\sharename where computername is the name of the other computer and sharename is the name of the drive shared. for instance, on my home lan i have two pc's named jon and laura. each has their c: drive shared as c. so if i were on the pc named laura i would type \\jon\c and press enter.
i ask you to do this because although network neighborhood may not be showing you anything, the network side of things is likely actually working. i don't have an answer as to how to fix this problem. i just know that this will likely work for you.
