Hi guys, I'm a real n00b so please be nice.
I want to know what hte max span of a USB cable can be. I've done Google searches and the max USB cable length is 80feet from what I gather. But what if I connected the cable to a switch and kept connecting to switches, can I potentially have a USB cable that runs a long distance separated by switches? What would be the maximum number of switches that I can use.
Summary: The maximum length for a single pair of connections is 100m or about 300'. However this assumes good mechanical contact in all connectors, the copper wiring is clean and ends are clipped cleanly, etc...
