We are having problems with mapped network drives disconnecting each time users log in our PCs. We have no clues has to why this is happening, when we look in my computer all of the mapped drives are showing a red X on them and when you double click on them this then re-connects them.
Any suggests has to how we might solve the problem with these mapped drives disconnecting.

There could be a couple reasons why this is happening. It depends on how your network is set up. If you are running a server that the computer is loging into, then i would suggest that you create login scripts for each user. Are you getting ne errors when you login? Like, could not connect to the drive, would you like to connect next time. Hope that helps some.

This is by design on Win-2K. Not a bug. It is supposed to save on system resources.

Check this MSDN article. There is a registry setting that can be modified to prevent this from happening. It was driving one of my customers crazy, so I spent some time looking into it. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q138365
