I have a network adapter for my PS2 now and I wish to play games on the net with it.
I have an 802.11g wireless router the office. Up until now I've not used it's wireless capabilities so I haven't really got any idea what I'm looking for.
Basically all I need is something that plugs into the network adapter (via ethernet) and converts it to an 802.11g wireless signal so it can communicate with the router. I guess like a USB dongle, only for ethernet instead. What exactly do they call these things? And do they cost much?

i dont think such a thing exists, at least not that i've seen, i looked around and couldnt find one, what you would need is a ethernet bridge but it would be easiest and probably cheapest to just by a 802.11a/b/g NIC

Forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject, but what's an NIC?

Ah okay. Thanks for this info.
So, I have the PS2 adapter already and I don't think you can install any other type of card into it so the bridge/access point is what I'm looking for here.
So if I buy one of those linksys access points with one ethernet port on it, configure it to be in tune with the router in my office, and then plug the psy network adapter into the access point, that should do it?
