Making IPaddress appear differently

Hey, I'm not a real expert at networking and stuff, but I was wondering if its possible to um... make an IP appear differently. Like for example, when someone sends an e-mail to a hotmail account, you can see the IP Adress of the person who sent the e-mail. I was wondering if it was possible to hide or change the IP address so that it doesn't show as my real address? Thanks

There are ways and means, but the only people who need to hide their IP address are spammers. There are enough of them about with telling the rest of the World how to do it.

Only if you have a dynamic IP address. If you have a static IP address it will remain, well static!
As it happens most will have a dynamic IP address.

Cujo, I think you're asking if there's a way to surf the web and send web-based email anonymously. There are ways to do this using anonymous proxy servers etc. Just type "anonymous web surfing" into google and you'll get pointed in the right direction. Then, with your IP properly disguised, you can torment the spammers of the world.
