MAC & Win AppleTalk Issue

I recently took over a client using a MAC and Windows mixed network envirnment. We just added a Windows 2000 Server w/ exchange, and installed AppleTalk to do some share's to the Mac users. All macs in the office are getting popup's saying that AppleTalk has been disrupted. Then less than a second later, a message that AppleTalk connection has been restored. This happens every couple of seconds, only after the Server was in place. Physically the lines have been tested and are fine. I know this because anything connecting VIA TCP has no problems and no packet loss.
