unless there is a placec for "administered address" like you get with some nics you can't change the mac address. Why would you need to anyway?

i installed 2 nics on my pc
the internet cat5 cable that comes from the pppoe internet server goes onto one and the other is connected to other pc.

and the mac address of my 1st nic is registered with the ISP.
when i bridge the 2 connections the mac address changes and i cannot login

so i needed a solution to spoof mac address of the mac bridge that gets created..

so any solutions??

Why are you bridging the 2 NIC's?

You shouldn't need to. Once you have the external (internet) NIC configured, connected and working properly, just enable ICS on it and it will set the other NIC up for you. Then all you need is a switch or hub to plug it into. Or, you could plug it straight into the second PC using a crossover cable.

get_dhanraj how are you seeing this? Are you sure you are talking about mac address and not IP address which could change?

You can only have one active login to your ISP, therefore you need a Router or two seperate Phone Lines and Accounts.

in other words your router does the ppoe. The clients don't have to since the router provides the connection. You can't do this with a switch.
