Lost internet after laptop crashed.

Specs: Windows Vista
My toshiba a200 crashed earlier and went to a blue screen of death. After turning it back on I had no internet conenction and was prompted to install a driver for a USB2.0 WLAN Adapter, even though I have no usb adapter plugged in. I tried to install the drivers anyway and was told that the drivers couldn't be found. In my Device Manager, under Network Adapters, it says there is a Code 10 problem with 'Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface'. As well as a Code 1 problem with a USB2.0 WLAN Adapter. I've tried plugging my laptop straight into the router via ethernet but that hasn't seemed to work (it also feels like the ethernet cable does not fit properly in the socket of my laptop). So any help would be appreciated as I just want to regain the use of the internet. Oh and I'm on another laptop at the moment which means there isn't a problem with my actual network.
