I am going about moving all pc's from a particular IP range to another IP address range which will be by ways of DHCP. The "old" IP address range are all static. Anyone have a trick for this for listing all the computer name that fall within a particular IP address range?
Many thanks!

You could also try a port scanner. Some, if not all of them should be able to do this.
Alternatively, if you know Linux/UNIX and have a box running in your environment, you could write a script to get you that info.

Be careful as sometimes static setuip's included other files and configs that remain even if you switch to dhcp.
If dns fails.
If system is local and no routers between then nbtstat -S as your 2003 is most likely a b-node.
You might have lmhosts or even hosts file that was in there somewhere.Might have a wins server also.
