Comment:

I recently ran the Belarc Advisor utility which IDs all your hardware componnents, xp updates installed, etc.

I noticed under the Users section, there are some "Local SYSTEM Accounts" (in addition to local User accounts)

I cannot find theses SYSTEM accounts listed under the "User Accounts" via the Control Pannel.

Does anyone know WHAT Local SYSTEM Accounts are (in WIN XP Pro), if this is a security issue, and HOW I can get rid of them?

THANKS

These are accounts the system uses to maintain itself. Hence the name.

You don't mess with system accounts which is why they are not listed in Users.

You can't get rid of them.
