What is the Advantages and disadvantages between linux and windows, i.e security , reliablilty and compatibility

The two systems have different design goals. Windows is meant to make money, Linux is meant to do its job.

There is little argument that Linux offers more configurations for security, reliability, and compatibility.

Windows can be secure, reliable, and compatible as well, but it is not meant to be so far extended, improved, customized, or applied as Linux.

Linux started as a networking OS and then took on the desktop.

Windows started as a user-friendly OS and then took on the server market.

So, Linux is better at being a server OS
Windows is better at being a desktop OS.

There's no way in hell I would use windows as a server.
