hey,

I set up a box running linux 7.0 a while back. It's working fine so far for sharing my single cable modem connection. The problem I seem to be having is a slow down of the original connection. When I ran a speed test on the connection. It was way below what is was when I was using winproxy;( I really like the new setup, but I would like to have the speed that cable provides. Is this a MTU problem? If so, how do I adjust it in linux. Info helping me resolve my problem will be most appreciated.

I'm not sure about how you connect to cable ISP's, but if you use ppp or a variant thereof, there are pppd mtu
and mru options.
