I am finishing an AOS Degree. I have 2 routes to choose. 1 campus offers security, linux, and Cisco the other offers security, exchange, and cisco. which is the best route for a CAREER.

Since both offer Cisco and Security it's down to do you want to follow the Unix or Microshaft path.

Everything you are facing i have done and successfully. Personally i would use a wired network, purely down to reliablity and the speed. A router is used for shareing a single internet connection with a number of computers, where as a switch is just for connecting more than one computer together. Fixing the connectors on to the end of the Cat 5 cable is also fairly easy. I could email u a detailed diagram that would show you where everything is wired....
