I have a network at work with a Linksys DSL VPN Router, and a DSL Modem at home with XP Pro. I went through all the instructions on how to setup a tunnel between the two and I got a "tunnel" connected, BUT the problem is that I can't see any computers on the other side of the tunnel. Could anyone tell me what I'm supposed to be doing? I'm new with networks.

You need to setup a lmhost file on your XP machine.

Before you go beating your head in trying to figure out lmhost files, first try pinging the IP address of one of the machines on the other side of the tunnel to verify there is actually a connection. Then, check in see if all your computers have the same workgroup name. (Right click on "My Computer", click on "Properties", then click on "Computer Name".) Computers being in the same workgroup isn't exactly necessary, but it helps. Then, see if you can browse a computer directly by clicking on "Start", "Run", and in the run field type \\(the other computer's name), and hit Enter.

Remember two things.
1. To see other computer that are sharing folders or printers, those computers have to be actually sharing something. If a computer isn't sharing any folders or printers, don't expect it to show up in "My Network Places".
2. Computers that show up in "My Network Places" requires something called "...browser services". Browsing services looks for other computers sharing resources, and somethings it takes awhile to generate a list of computers, even though you can still browse a computer by using a direct method as I outlined above using \\(the other computer's name) in the run field.
-Good Luck
