|Here is my situation...|
I bought a WRT54G v5.0. It is set up as follows:
INTERNET IP: 192.168.1.33
INTERNAL IP: 192.168.10.1
This router is hooked up internally to our network. I added a Static Route on our Internet Router (192.168.1.9) for the router as follows:
192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.33
In other words, all traffic directed at the 192.168.10.0 network should be sent to 192.168.1.33 for routing.
From the WAN (192.168.1.0) network I can ping 192.168.1.33 AND 192.168.10.1
In other words, I can ping both the internet IP and LAN IP of the Router.
I cannot, however, ping any clients (ex.. 192.168.10.102) on the LAN of the router.
On the ‘Advanced Routing’ page of the web setup, I have set the ‘Operating Mode’ to Router.
The Routing Table looks like this:
Destination LAN IP Subnet Mask Gateway Interface
0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.9 WAN (Internet)
192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.33 WAN (Internet)
192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.1 LAN & Wireless
Could you please help me get this configured so I can talk directly from the WAN to clients on the LAN. I want to be able to Ping any computer on the 192.168.10.0 network from the 192.168.1.0 network.
