Hi everyone,
I need your help. I bought a Linksys WRT54G wireless router less than 2 weeks ago, and I tried to setup for sharing the cable internet, but the router has problem to access the internet. Since the router is version 6 and its firmware is 1.00.7. All my computers are running Windows XP Professional, and they could SEE each other in a network, but they could NOT access the internet. Then I upgraded to the latest firmware (firmware 1.01.1) from Linksys website, and the problem is still same thing. I still can’t access the internet. After that I download an older firmware version 1.00.9, and it works. However, after I turn off the router and turns on again, and it does NOT work anymore. When I login the web-base of the router and check its status, all IP, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway are 0.0.0.0 So how can I fix this problem? Thank you very much for any help. I really disappointed with Linksys router.

It should not be difficult to configure this Linksys WRT54G wireless router. I'm using it and the performance is pretty good..
Check out this link on configuring this wireless router, see any steps you missed:
http://www.home-network-help.com/wi...If still not working, then I suspect it might be hardware failure. Check for replacement then.

Thank you picohat for your help. I have read the web page that you gave me. I believe that I did not miss anything. Is your Linksys WRT54G router also "version 6"? And what is the current firmware version that you are using? Thank you very much. I think that I spent money to buy trouble :(
