linksys WRT54G port forward problem

Hi, my port forwarding was working fine but had to reinstall the router one day and lost my settings, since then its been no go. I dont have a static ip but i didnt before either. I've tried various settings on the router and my internet settings, but nothing changes. Firmware is up to date Xp firewall has the exceptions set up What else could it be????
