Note: I'm aware of linksys.org but I'm a bit wary due to incompatible firmware and so many variations of my router

.org .com yes I know, Like I said I'm still very wary of the exact one, with all the variations with WRT54GL and stuff.

Liksys.com is the official Linksys web site. You are not going to get an "official" firmware update anywhere else.
