Hey guys.. This happened to me, and I know why!!! XP detects the linksys as a realtek sometimes...

first off.. it *IS* a realtek.. See here:

Secondly..

If this happens the standard WPC11 driver you get off linksys.com (version 4.0 is a realtek, the older version of the card isnt)
has a file in it called LSRTNDS.INF...

Manually point it to this file, (which mentions the RTL8180 chip that the card uses)
and it works great.. beautifully in fact.
