I have a linksys wireless router to connect my PC to my main comp downstairs. When I try to connect to the network, everything works fine, and I receive a strong signal; however, when i try to use a browser, or anything that requires internet, it says the server cannot be found. The main comp downstairs can access the internet, and my wireless comp can access other unsecure networks and use them fine... please help

Doesn't sound like you got your encryption between the wireless pc and router right. Follow the instructions of the router manual to setup.
Are you ready for where Microsoft wants you to go today?

On that problem computer, open command prompt (cmd.exe) and type following command to show IP, netmask, gateway, DNS servers... then compare with working computer's output. I suspect the problem computer didn't receive the correct network info. You can try to assign those network info manually and test again.
ipconfig /all
Ensure the DNS servers that you configured on computer works properly. If not you won't be able to browse website.
