linksys wired router

i'm having trouble accessing my routers web based setup. I input the correct password but it says invalid user-name. this is the first router i've purchased and followed the directions but it just isn't working. Can someone please help

Did you put in the correct account? Account and password have to match. Otherwise set back to factory defaults and logon [just like in the manual]. Then reset the password and write it down.
