Hi,
I've recently purchased a Linksys (2,4GHz 802.11g Wireless-G Broadband Router with SRX)as it is mentioned on the box. I'm currently running my home network with a Conexant ADSL Router (4 ports) connected to a Switch Hub (8 ports) for 6 PCs which are running perfectly.
Back to Linksys:
I did the set up as recommended by Linksys (starting off with the CD then logged in the 192.168.1.1 to complete the set up. But when I try to connect to the internet it shows the "The Page cannot be displayed" ??
I tried to do the whole thing again and everything got worse now my laptop doesnt even connect with the wired router ??
I guess u all know waht I'm talking about here .. Just to cut short, can anyone tell me How can I configure my network please??

I have the following:
Connexant ADSL Router 4 Ports
Switch Hub 8 Ports
6 PCs connected to the switch Hub(no problem)
A Linksys Wireless Access Point (4ports) with 3 antenas.
And a ACER Laptop (Aspire 1640-WiFi Enabled)

Required:
Sharing my existing Internet connection with my Laptop through a wireless access point??

Hope that is enough information ..??!!

It sounds like the existing conexant is doing the natting so in the new linksys you need to turn off the "dhcp" function . Check your existing pcs and see what the address range and subnet mask is . Change your new linksys router address to a free address in that range . You could also try and set a manual address in your wireless laptop to be the range of the current of the working pcs and see if that gets you anything . Until you get an address that is in the same range as the rest of the pcs nothing is going to work.
